Mistakes cannot rob you of your destiny, but they will help you to fulfill it with more wisdom, perseverance, and humility.
Setbacks caused by your errors or poor choices of other people cannot prevent your destiny, but they will give you an opportunity to increase your capacity to forgive yourself and others, and can multiply your compassion for others who are also learning patience.
You may have been slowed down by allowing doubt and distraction, but if you set your face like flint and daily surrender to His plans for you, I believe that He will restore years and expedite your progress. Doors may close before others open, but there is joy in the journey and treasures in the trials. He is never setting you up for failure but is working all things for good in your life.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).”
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)”
“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…(Joel 2:25)”
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2:2).”
My recent book, Brushstrokes of Heaven, has many examples from my own life of God’s ability to bring blessings out of difficult challenges. What have you seen God “work for good” in your life? I would love to see your comments below!
